Take a green break near the High Street
Church House Gardens is a useful starting point when you want some outdoor time close to the shops. The council lists ornamental gardens, a lake, terraces, a children's play area and sports facilities. Choose a shorter wander or take time to explore the paths and planting.
Check the park information before planning a particular activity, especially if access, surfaces or facilities matter to your group. The nearby streets give you options for a café stop before or after your walk.
Make an evening of a performance
The Churchill Theatre brings theatre, comedy, music and family shows to Bromley High Street. Its programme changes, so choose a performance from the venue's own listings rather than assuming the same events run every week.
Check the performance time, ticket arrangements and access information before booking. If you are eating beforehand, allow time for the walk from the restaurant and tell the restaurant when you need to leave.
Add something local to an ordinary trip
On a Charter Market day, the pedestrian High Street offers a different browsing experience from the indoor shopping centre. Combine a few stalls with the side streets and specialist shops, or follow up a local-history interest around Market Square.
For a regular activity, look at local clubs and sports venues as well as one-off attractions. Norman Park Community Sports Centre and Bromley Sports Club publish their own joining and activity information; check the location and arrangements before setting off.
